New Dance Zones at ActiveSG Sport Centres
With more spotlight on breakdancing and the inclusion of “Breaking” in the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics, ActiveGroove is building on the momentum by providing more opportunities for local street dancers to practise, perform and compete. In addition to the Lion City Dance Convention competitions organised annually since November 2021, ActiveGroove has partnered ActiveSG Sport Centres to repurpose existing spaces, making them conducive for dancers to practise and learn alongside fellow dance enthusiasts. Recently, three new free-to-use ActiveGroove dance zones have opened at Sport Village @ Jurong Town, Yio Chu Kang Tennis Centre and Sengkang Swimming Complex bringing the total number of free-to-use dance zones to eight.
