SingaporeBowling (SBF), formerly known as Singapore Tenpin Bowling Congress, was constituted in 1963 at a time when the sport of Tenpin Bowling was strictly for the recreational past time of a privileged few.
SingaporeBowling is the National governing body of the Sport of Tenpin Bowling in Singapore and recognised as such by the Singapore National Olympic Council and the Singapore Sports Council. It is also recognised as such by the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF), the World Tenpin Bowling Association (WTBA) and the Fédération International des Quilleurs (FIQ).
As the National Sports Association charged with the development of the sport in Singapore, SingaporeBowling dedicates one of its priorities on elite high performance sport development by grooming and developing Singapore bowlers to sport excellence in the regional and international arena. Our bowlers have consistently participated in major overseas competitions, apart from our annual Singapore International Open to bring glory to our nation.
Aligned with Vision 2030, SingaporeBowling is committed to encourage corporate to support sports though bowling. SingaporeBowling has been actively promoting participation from the public, people and private sectors since 2008 by organizing corporate tournaments as we believe that sport can help to maintain Singapore’s social integrity and economic strength. Through participation in community outreach programmes, SingaporeBowling can generate greater awareness of tenpin bowling as a leisure sport for all segments.
