So you're an enthusiastic parent keen to let your child take on a sport that will build up his strength, stamina and endurance. Or perhaps you just want to give him a head start and let him try a sport that may end up being passionate about. But the problem is, you just don't know where to start.

In this article, we've listed 3 popular places where young kids can go to pick up the game of table tennis in a comfortable kid friendly environment.

1. Singapore Table Tennis Association

One way of allowing your children to pick up valuable kids table tennis lessons would be through the Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA). STTA has various levels of recreational programmes catered to the general public.

The Learn-to-play course is specially created for beginners to this sport and consists of 10 sessions that teach beginners the basic rules and fundamentals of table tennis.

The Continue-to-Play course as its name suggests is the continual course specially designed for students who have graduated from the Learn-to-play course. Here, students are trained to further hone their skills and basic techniques of the game.

Ages: 5 years and above
Fees: $267.50 for 10 lessons for both courses
Group Size: 6-8 Students
Address: Multiple venues

With a small class ratio of 1 coach to 6-8 students, you do not need to worry that your kid will not receive enough attention from the coach. To make it even more convenient, there are four training venues spread out across Singapore in Hougang, Pasir Ris, Clementi and Toa Payoh. These venues have different training schedules making it easy to plan your kids schedules. To sign up online, you can visit the official website here.
