World Aquatics Championships - Singapore 2025 mascots were introduced at the media launch held at ActiveSG Bukit Canberra swimming pool on April 2nd.
April 2nd marked the 100-day countdown to the inaugural World Aquatics Championships that will be held in Singapore this July. This is the first time a Southeast Asian country will be hosting this prestigious event, with the competition featuring over 2,500 elite athletes from more than 200 countries, competing in six aquatic sports: swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming, open water swimming, and high diving.
To mark this special occasion was the launch of the SG60 Swim Challenge, an initiative that is aimed at fostering community engagement and promoting an active lifestyle. Held at the ActiveSG Bukit Canberra swimming pool, Sembawang West residents teamed up with Singapore national swimmers and T100 triathlon athletes to race in a relay, which was officiated by Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Mr. Edwin Tong.
