A total of 15 teams participated in the A Division Girls' Basketball competition of the 2023 National School Games (NSG), which tipped off on 12 April. The 15 schools were divided into 3 groups for the preliminary stage. And on 28 April at the Singapore Basketball Centre, it was the matchup between Dunman High School (DHS) and Temasek Junior College. DHS met the TJCians on the back of 2 straight wins, including a 59-1 victory over Yishun Innova JC. As for Temasek JC, they had 1 win and 1 loss, before meeting DHS. Final score : DHS 39 -35 TJC.
Dunman High School finished the prelim stage with 3 wins out of 4 matches and advanced to the quarter-finals, where their current run is at 1 win and 2 losses. And as for TJC, they won 2 and lost 2 matches, which just weren't good enough to advance further.
