The Judo A Division and B Division competitions brought together 13 schools performing their with every ippon, waza-ari, and submission contested. Throughout the 3-days championships, every judoka exhibited commendable sportsmanship and resilience. Whether in the intense clashes of the A Division or the spirited contests of the B Division, the matches were characterized by a high level of competitiveness and mutual respect. At the end of three days of competition, the champions were crowned.

All A Division titles were swept by Hwa Chong Institution (HCI). The champions for the different weight categories were:

  • Foo Yuning Germaine from HCI for -48kg
  • Li Zi Qing from HCI for -52kg
  • Foong Jing Heng from HCI for -60kg
  • Tan Zheng Xu Robbie from HCI for -66kg
  • Ng Shaldon from HCI for -73kg
  • Teo Chee Hern from HCI for -81kg
  • Zhu KunYu from HCI for -90kg

The B Division titles were claimed by:

  • Jullie Anne De La Cruz Tupaz from Assumption English School (AES) for -45kg
  • Adena Hyra Muhammad Azzad from Raffles Girls’ School (RGS) for -48kg
  • Hsu Jia Qi from Nanyang Girls' High School (NYGH) for -52kg
  • Tan Yew Xuan Derrick (Chen Youxuan) from St Gabriel’s Secondary School (SGSS) for -55kg
  • Tan Rui Xin (Chen Ruixin) from NYGH for -57kg
  • Ng Yu Herng from HCI for -60kg
  • Shriya Sharma Paudyal from Haig Girls’ School (HGS) for -64kg
  • Len Jia Le, Jae from AES for -66kg
  • Teo Chee Le from HCI for -73kg
  • Jiang Lai from HCI for -82kg
  • Huang Zehe from HCI for -91kg

The judo students practiced their warm-up routines, focusing on perfecting their techniques and preparing their minds and bodies for the upcoming competition.

In the A Division -60kg finals, HCI’s Foong Jing Heng seized an opportunity to trip RI’s Phung Ding Jun Zachary, emerging as the champion.

Before the bronze medal match, RI teammates Lam Charis Agatha and Low Ya Xuan Sonya respectfully bowed to each other. Low Ya Xuan Sonya went on to secure the bronze in the -52kg category.

In the A Division -66kg finals, HCI’s Tan Zheng Xu Robbie met RI’s Chee Rui Kang Maximilian. HCI’s Tan Zheng Xu Robbie emerged victorious at the end of the 2 minutes 59 seconds match.

NYGH’s Tay Hong Yee (Zheng Fangyi) met AES’ Chai Zhi Xin in the repechage. NYGH’s Tay Hong Yee (Zheng Fangyi) won the match, winning 3rd place in the -45kg.

AES teammates Jullie Anne De La Cruz Tupaz and Hadiradewi Keira Tatyanna hugged after the match, showing their respect and friendship beyond the competition.

NYGH’s Gan Rui Qi Darnelle and HGS’ Oh Min Yi faced off in the repechage. HGS’ Oh Min Yi won the round with an ippon at the 1:59 mark.

After a determined effort, St Patrick’s Secondary School’s (SPSS) Leong Jun Kai Damian succeeded in putting RI’s Chan Kaijie Tristan on the ground in the repechage. He went on to secure 3rd place in the -60kg.

HCI’s Chia Qin Kai Jonas concluded the match with a skillfully executed throw, earning an ippon against teammate Cheng Yu Yi.

HGS’ Shriya Sharma Paudyal executed a successful throw against NYGH’s Lin Rouyi Chloe, earning an ippon in the finals of the -64kg.

Students cheered enthusiastically for their school as their judo teams competed.

HGS’ Muhamad Fadli Hamka high-fived his coach with a smile.

After securing a victory, the HCI coach clapped with pride and encouragement, acknowledging the hard work of their judokas.
