This year's Pesta Sukan is introducing Rugby 7s and Wrestling, adding to a total of 34 sport categories.
Rugby 7s, known for its fast-paced and dynamic gameplay, is an easy game to pick up due to its simplified format. With only seven players per team, the game is less complex and allows for more open play, making it easier for newcomers to learn and enjoy. The shorter halves (seven minutes each) also contribute to a more intense and engaging experience, making it accessible for beginners while still being exciting for seasoned players.
As for wrestling, even for the non-players, watching it is incredibly exciting due to its blend of athleticism, strategy, and spectacle. Each match showcases a variety of techniques, from powerful strikes to intricate grappling manoeuvres, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats. The unpredictability of martial arts competitions, where a match can turn in an instant with a well-timed technique, adds to the thrill and drama, making it a must-see sport.
