Prioritising Mental Health in the Workplace: Join Active Health for Our Next Webinar
In line with the upcoming World Mental Health Day on 10 October 2024, Active Health is launching a series of webinars, with the second instalment focusing on overcoming workday lethargy.
This year's theme, “It’s Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace,” highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing at work. Prioritising mental health not only benefits employees but also strengthens organisations and communities as a whole.
Mental health challenges such as jadedness and lethargy can significantly impact employees' overall wellbeing, as well as their performance and morale at work. However, there are many effective strategies to boost energy and enhance focus throughout the workday:
- Take Proper Rest Breaks: It’s easy for employees to sit at their desks for hours on end, especially during busy times when they may even eat lunch at their workspace to keep up with demands. It’s crucial to remind employees to take proper breaks away from their desks to recharge, even during hectic periods.
- Stay Active: Regular, simple exercises can significantly reduce stress and improve overall well being. Physical activity also boosts focus and cognitive function. Incorporating activity can be as simple as holding walking meetings or stepping outside for some fresh air during a lunch break.
- Provide Training: Ongoing mental health training equips teams with the knowledge and tools to recognise and address mental health challenges in the workplace, fostering a supportive environment.
