FIDE World Chess Championship Singapore 2024
The pinnacle of chess will be in Singapore for the very first time - the FIDE World Championship 2024 match!
The FIDE World Chess Championship Match 2024 will take place in Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa from November 25 to December 13, 2024. This iconic event will be the first in 138 years to feature two contestants from Asia - the reigning world champion, China’s Grandmaster Ding Liren, defending his title against 18-year old Indian Grandmaster Dommaraju Gukesh, the youngest challenger in the history of the Championship. This will only be the second time in the championship’s history that it is held in Southeast Asia, the first being in Baguio, the Philippines in 1978.
Ticket holders will get to watch the players competing for the title of World Champion, and they can also enjoy the action from the Fan Zone, where visiting masters and guests will interact with fans to help explain the moves and give their opinions of the games. VIP pass holders can expect front row seats and access to the VIP Lounge hospitality with food and drinks. They will also have priority invitations to side events like workshops, simuls, talks and fan meets. Google activities on site will be open to all ticket holders.
